…and pretty much anything

else you can think of. If it’s a skill people used pre 1600 of the Common Era, someone in the SCA has researched how it was done.

So what does that actually mean, in terms of things you can do in Burnfield?   At our regular meetings,  either, experts from our group will teach classes in some of these skills, or people will bring their own or group projects.  And once you’ve built up some skills, you can enter your work in competitions at our Barony or Kingdom events. The competitions have a Beginner level, so however new the skill is to you enter something you have made. For more on Kingdom competitions see https://artsandsciences.lochac.sca.org/competitions/

The Arts and Sciences are recognised as one of the pillars of the SCA by awards in the Kingdom of Lochac, our parent group. If you want to get involved, come along on Wednesday nights, or get in touch with our Arts and Sciences Officer, at arts&sciences@burnfield.lochac.sca.org
