Seneschal Nominations

Warm regards to the populace of Burnfield,

The role of Seneschal is vital and required by all official SCA groups in Lochac. It is currently held in an interim capacity and proper changeover must be arranged as soon as possible. Failure to do so will see our group fall into abeyance, and we will no longer be able to operate.

Under SCA rules, a group Seneschal:
• Serves as the principal mundane legal representative of the SCA within the group
– you have final responsibility on things like whether and when events happen, and who stewards them
• Receives reports from all group officers on the status of their office
• Makes such reports as may be required by the Crown, which in Lochac is every quarter for a Barony or larger, and every six months for a Shire or smaller

Your role is to foster the group’s operation and development, and make sure that it is
soundly based, well run, well behaved, growing and connected to the rest of the SCA.

The expected tenure of a successful applicant would be 2 years. There are a few requirements (maintaining current membership for the whole tenure, writing monthly group and Baronial reports and quarterly kingdom reports).

Applications need to be sent to the interim seneschal of Burnfield ( seneschal@burnfield.lochac.sca.org), the interim seneschal of Riverhaven (seneschal@riverhaven.lochac.sca.org), the kingdom seneschal (seneschal@lochac.sca.org), and cc’d to the Baron and Baroness of Riverhaven (BaronBaroness@riverhaven.lochac.sca.org).

Nominations for the position must be submitted by Sunday 20th Jan

YiS,
Stephanos
