…and pretty much anything else you can think of. If it’s a skill people used in the Middle Ages, someone in the SCA has figured out how.

So what does that actually mean, in terms of things you can do with our group? At various events throughout the year, experts from our group will teach classes on some of these skills based on interest from our members. At our regular meetings, you’ll find various members of the Canton chatting as they work on their own projects, and you’re always welcome to bring something of your own along or ask for advice. And once you’ve built up some skills of your own, you can enter your work in competitions at our larger events.

The Arts and Sciences are recognised as one of the pillars of the SCA by awards in the Kingdom of Lochac, our parent group. If you want to get involved, come along on Wednesday nights or one of our A&S weekends, or get in touch with our Arts and Sciences Minister, Mistress Eleanor of Cathenes (Pam) at mailto:arts%26sciences@burnfield.lochac.sca.org
